Making of…»Bailame» music video

When I broke my arm I had a lot of spare time to think and write (with one hand obviously). In the last six months I had been writing and writing but when I went to record what I had in paper…I realized that I had a bunch of deep and sad songs (honestly I was kind of feeling that way).

So one day in the studio we decided it was time to cheer ourselves up and Jimmy came up with the «Bailame» beat. Together we sat down and in one hour we had the promo song ready. That is the amazing thing about music; you never know when the inspirational muse visits you.

We filmed the video in different days; we had the studio day, the chroma day, the details footage day and the black background day. The behind the scenes video I am about to share is just from one of those days. I hope to share the music video really soon with you guys because I am dying for you to see it! Until then…here it is:

Eurovision 2016 «Feel the love»

Been kind of… well…off the radar lately, but I promise you I’ve been down to business and having a lovely time in the hectic agenda.

I am absolutely proud to announce to you guys that thanks to my lovely producer William Luque, I am part of something really exciting: he made the music and I wrote the lyrics to the song «Feel the love» by Stanley Miller (Chipper) and we are participating to represent Switzerland in Eurovision 2016!

It would mean a lot to me if you guys can vote for us so we can go though the next round. Here I share with you the official video made by Jimmy Selecta so you can hear the music and (if you like it) you can vote for us!

We have until November 16th, 2015 to vote. Then hopefully 17 songs will be selected and go through the next round in Zurich.

7 things that make my summer rock

«Higher» single release

«I feel the fire…when we collide…don’t ever let me go, we’re here to start the show…you take me higher…»

Oh you have no idea how I was anxiously waiting  for the release of this song. We recorded this just before moving to Madrid and I remember all the chaos around it. I am so happy it is ready now and I can share it with you guys. I love this song because it really takes me «higher», it also reminds me of good changes and to take risks more often.

Jimmy’s beats are awesome, I love how he gets into my mind and reads exactly what I like in a song. Carlos Navarrete (NVR), our dear friend, helped us with the music and I have to say we did have a lot of fun between takes and studio sessions (specially my awesome cooking afterwards).

I can’t wait to show you the music video and share with you some more fun stuff.

Let me know if you guys like it!

Enjoy!

«Higher» videoclip by 12/20

nati jimmy

I think this is the first time in the last month where I sat in an actual chair, took a sip of coffee and opened my blog. These last couple of days have been a mad, crazy, chaos. I am packing everything, leaving our apartment, recording new music and shooting a video.

Not to mention my constant panic and anxiety attacks.

I am loving it though. It may sound crazy but I think this drastic change is wonderful. It may seem a little weird but I have a lot of energy lately. (Except at the end of the video shoot when I did faint.)

So enough of the complains and let’s talk about the new video clip!

Fun, fun and more fun. We didn’t have the luxury of organizing and preparing the mega production for the video and we had to improvise along the shooting. But it came out pretty cool. We laughed and had fun. This is one of the things I enjoy the most.

The video will be ready in a couple of months. I wanted to tell you guys I am still here. I have not taken a vacation or a time out. I am working and working and soon I will share more exciting news! Hopefully «The Golden Limoncello» will soon get back on track.

Have a wonderful weekend!

Time bomb

Jimmy and I make a pretty good musical team. We try to separate our personal lives when we are working and that is what keeps things interesting. We disagree in many things and it’s funny how we work together. In the last couple of years Jimmy became my producer and I felt really comfortable with it because he know exactly what music I like and how I want my tracks to be. Last year we decided to make a project together called «12/20» and I want to share with you guys our first single called «Bomba de tiempo» that in Spanish means «time bomb».

Our dear friend Dennis Nieves from «Dmenace Music» produced this track. He is a fantastic producer and working with him is more fun that work. I hope you guys enjoy the song as much as we did recording it.
