Vlog series: Tuscany trip

I wanted to make a different kind of travel post so after stalking people on YouTube I got the (brilliant) idea to try to do a travel vlog for this trip.

I have to confess I was kind of skeptical about this whole vlog thing but it was actually fun and I got to capture tons of footage for you guys.

So here it is! Hope you like it 馃檪

New home, once again

It has been a year since I was packing and unpacking stuff from and old home to a new one. I have changed beds four times in the last four years. Maybe it’s my lucky number.

It was not a pleasant experience searching for a new apartment here in Madrid: for some reason everything we saw was either too old or too expensive, until we found the current place where I’m now typing from.

We were supposed to be in Barcelona right now but a turn of events made us reconsider our decision. We are still recording our album here and it was kind of precipitated to leave it mid way and move to another city.

So here I am posting from our new home. I am proud to say I packed and unpacked everything in three days. I cleaned and organized pretty much like the little OCD freak I am in one day and oh… you have no idea how excited I am to start decorating. I will try to find a balance between that and the recording.

As soon as I am settled in I will show more before and after pics!

P.S: Nina is absolutely in love with the big balcony.

Our new little home

I loved this place since I entered the first time and saw the natural light coming in from the windows. The apartment owners are the sweetest people you can meet. While they explained paperwork, all聽I did was stand there and enjoy what would be my new home.

I started mentally organizing the apartment and getting really excited how everything was going to turn out.

The first thing I did was clean the place like three times. After that, we had to improvise a lot. We bought two pillows and a blanket. They gave us the key to the apartment at 9聽pm. We had little time to buy things for the night but we managed to sleep like babies in our new home.

Next day was all about IKEA : my new best friend. We bought our furniture there and some decorations. I can’t wait to start my DIY projects for the house! (Yes, that peach wall is going DOWN)

What I am going to show you is just a temporary look of the apartment. We have been working like crazy and having strange hours of sleep. But I want to show you how it is coming along.

White floor inspiration

Am I the only person in the world who hates dark聽parquet flooring? Probably, because when I say so I get strange looks from people. I like light-colored wood and white floors. I know, I know, they get dirty really quickly and they also are high maintenance. But I am a neat-freak so I guess that it makes no difference for me.

When we bought our current apartment what I liked was the cream marble in the living room area and the hallway. What I hated was the ugly wood they used for the bedroom’s floor. So I always wanted to paint it white but couldn’t find the courage to do so because I am afraid that it won’t turn out the way I want it.

Here some inspiration for my future project (or my imaginary one).

Do you guys have white floors? Are they as beautiful as they look on photos?
