Happy birthday to my gorgeous Mom.
She is always there when I need her and I miss her with all my heart.
This picture was taken the day before moving to Madrid and I get really nostalgic when I see it.
We are far away but yet so close.
May you have a wonderful birthday Manula!
I love you dearly.
One whole year of sharing and posting and getting to know all of you.
Thank you so much for such a beautiful journey.
Happy 1st Anniversary to The Golden Limoncello!
So much more to come!
I normally wait for the new year with a bubbly enthusiasm because it means a fresh start and time for changes. But this year it has been different. I feel like I have accomplished so much this 2014 that I will feel a little nostalgic about it ending. When I started this blog almost a year ago, I had no idea I would take it so seriously and that it would mean so much to me. It started like a small escape from reality, like a vessel to another dimension and it became my little personal space to share and post and connect with you guys.
You have seen all of my 2014 and all the beautiful changes that came with it. I feel like I have been accompanied through the whole year even though I can’t see you. Thank you so much for all your support. Thank you for your kind comments and your suggestions. Thank you for making me smile and for letting me know that there is someone (other than my lovely sister) who reads my blog.
I can’t wait to continue sharing and knowing you guys a little better.
Thank you, thank you, thank you.
May this 2015 bring joy to your life. May it bring happiness and tons of smiles. I wish that I could meet each and every one of you and let you know how thankful I am that you take the time to read what I post. I hope with all my heart this new year will brighten every day and make you realize how special each and every one of you is.
Happy 2015! ❤
This is my first Christmas in Madrid and I am feeling really excited and nostalgic at the same time. I miss my little sister and spending quality time with my parents. The warmth of Nina resting on my lap while I sit petting her.
I want to wish you all a fabulous Christmas.
May you all spend this day with your loved ones and have fun.
Smile, laugh and eat all the things you like.
Buon Natale from The Golden Limoncello!
There we were, climbing up the stairs of an old building. All I was thinking was “what did we get ourselves into?”. But when the owner opened the big wooden door, we were relieved. A small hallway hugged us with a warm welcome. Natural light was peaking in the living room area and I immediately smiled. I didn’t have to see the rest of the flat to know this was the place.
In a near future I will paint the walls white. You guys know how much I love to redecorate! Yesterday we went furniture-shopping and found some lovely stuff.
I am so happy to start this new chapter and share it with you all!
Dear Madrid, I have officially arrived!
I am still looking for a place to live and it has been a little hard, but I am getting there. I found some interesting places and some terrible crack-house style apartments but I have the feeling that we will find something we really like. I can’t wait to share new photos of our trip so far and I believe this is going to be a very interesting adventure.
May you all have a wonderful week!
I am writing this post and I already feel nostalgic since this is probably the last time I am going to be posting from this place. It’s official: I have packed everything and I am ready to start from scratch.
Tomorrow is going to be a very long day. Trips to Europe are long and the whole Caracas-airport-thing makes me feel anxious. Tonight I will be having a hard time falling asleep for sure. I am going to miss tons of things but I am excited for all the new experiences to come.
My bags have extra weight and we do have extra luggage. I just can’t process how I managed to pack our lives in just five suitcases (well thanks Mom you are amazing at this).
I will be posting as soon as I get there.
See you soon!
I promised myself I would never stop posting unless it was a very rare situation. Well that very rare situation is happening right now.
Remember this and this post? So big changes are coming my way indeed.
I will tell you guys all about it next week with all the juicy details.
For now, I am taking this week to organize everything that has to be done for this big change. I don’t want to give anything away yet, but all I can say is that I am surrounded by big and small boxes…
